There’s no denying that summer is long gone but that means it’s time to welcome fall with open arms. We know what you’re thinking, and fear not: The Nash doesn’t serve anything remotely close to a Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Instead, we’re embracing the season with brown liquor, comfort food and a killer live music line-up. Here’s our fall guide to good times.

BROWN LIQUOR

Forget fall fashion, warm up with something from behind the bar. This time of year calls for aged rums, the wonderfully medicinal and aromatic fernet spirit, and heavier bourbons, like the Bib & Tucker 12-year. For sipping, go for the tried and true Old Fashioned. It’s hard to go wrong with a cocktail that’s been around for 200+ years.

COMFORT FOOD

You can’t come to Off Cut Bar without trying the Rolls. Like the Old Fashioned is a fixture on the drink list the Crispy Potato Rolls are an essential snack at The Nash and Off Cut Bar. Rotisserie pork, jalapeño Jack cheese spicy ranch, and salsa verde make this (gluten free) share plate something that just about everyone can enjoy.

LIVE MUSIC

Booker T, Muddy Waters and Mama Thornton are just a few of our favourites when it comes to our playlists, but for the full experience you need to come visit us on Thursday nights. Catch our fall line-up of Alberta artists that covers everything from Rockabilly, to Folk and Blues. Our personal recommendation for a good night starts with Happy Hour, followed by dinner and front row seats for the first set at 8 pm.
